Imagine a company which produces contents for large sites, like those of  the TV network TF1, the Airports of Paris (ADP) or... the Marie Claire magazine, plus other technological services (development, hosting of Web services). Its name : Quelm. This company won prices at Capital-IT, the frenchy start-up stuff. As we said, one of Quelm customers' is the famous magazine Marie-Claire.

Marie Claire publishes classifieds.  The men looking for women can go there and deposit a small text, accompanied with a picture and a small audio message. And guess who's in charge for those ads ? Quelm. Visiting its server will let you see that the only thing you can read is the ads. Want to see the girl's awnsers? No way.

However, Quelm, specializes in Lotus technologies (the site says: "Quelm can also offer hosting for the Web sites on its own machines using technologies like Lotus Notes, Cold Fusion, PHP." ) Still... They forgot some details while setting up the Marie Claire web server... The result is that anyone, armed with a stupid browser, can get to the answers made to the fine young men by the girlies... Once again, this is punished by a french law. A company collecting personal datas must protect those datas. And, indeed, this is personal data. The girls who awnser leave their physical adress, their mobile telephone number (often) and their e-mail address. Let's hope they are not maried or something. Let's hope that their boy friends will not see the awnsers...

Who sould we thank ? Thank you Quelm and thank you Marie-Claire for this beautiful brand new technologies set up for our good. Marie-Claire announces on it's site: "Warning: The present advertisements are published in Marie Claire, are diffused on this site and voice messaging, under only and whole responsibility for the advertisers who remain the only judges of their form and their contents. The role of the newspaper being limited exclusively to the diffusion of the advertisements and the routing of the answers, Marie Claire declines all other responsibility"

Dear Marie, I like this sense of liability. But even for the dissusion, you're not doing your work properly...
